Alex Kidd in Miracle World is the only Sega Master System game we have actually completed. Well, when we say completed, we was with a friend who completed it – but we watched, so that still counts. Anyway, we got pretty far unaided put it that way.
We can only talk for us UK kids, but if you grew up in the ’90s and your mum wasn’t tight, the chances are she will have bought you the (now retro console) the Sega Master System. The great thing about the Sega Master System was it came with a built in game! That’s right, a game you could frickin’ play when no game cartridge was inserted – with two to choose from.
The two games were: the original Sonic and Alex Kidd in Miracle World.
Alex the Kidd should be a childhood favorite of us all and the acapella cover above kicks ass. It was first uploaded on Jun 21, 2012 and the views were below 15,000 which just isn’t right at all. After all, who doesn’t like riding a bike; playing rock, paper, scissors; and eating rice cakes? Although, we could swear they use to be beef burgers when growing up.
Oh, and if you used to get stressed over the Janken bosses (we know we did) here are the cheats:
1st: Choose Rock in the first game, then Scissors in the second
2nd: Scissors, then Paper
3rd: Rock, Scissors
4th: Paper, Paper
5th: Rock, Rock
6th: Rock, Scissors
7th: Paper, Paper
